I found this very informative to see how the animation was created. I would like to animate on paper in a traditional way but it isn't a very cost effective way of animating especially as I can use photoshop very easily. It my be difficult to recreate the pencil line quality in photoshop that makes Duet so charming but it would be impractical to attempt making a 2D animation with paper and a light box.
What I've also found interesting was the use of mix media. The team behind the animation placed the 2D animation in maya with a 3D camera as part of viewer interaction. This is of particular interest to me as my project will be very much mix media piece and will need to integrate 2D animation into a 3D space.
