Class Exercise- Story Structure
after exploring the six main elements within a narrative I broke down my story into those six stages and reworked the story in collaboration with Dan, Jen and Amy throwing ideas and possible character interactions.
EXPOSITION:
A sprite girl forms out of the moon and explores and moves through the stella environment around her.
INCITING INCIDENT:
Girl spots a couple of feathers and blue foot prints. She picks up and when touching them becomes fascinated by the yellow colour they leaving on her hands. She places the feather in her hair and follows foot prints.
PROGRESSIVE COMPLICATIONS:
The girl spots more feathers and collects them, still moving through the environment
The girl spots Blu, curled up, not moving asleep. When the girl gets too close to the creature he wakes up and angry at being disturbed. He becomes threatening and territorial towards the girl who is frighten.
CLIMAX:
The girl decides not to run and Blu becomes less threatening when he spots his feather in the girls hair. He approaches girl cautiously while the girl is still timid but standing her ground. Blu seems to be more excepting of the girl (very close to her). The girl reaches out to touch him, and on contact become yellow
RESOLUTION:
The girl revels in her new form, playing with her colour and encourages the Hippogriff to join in. Together they leave their colours on the clouds mixing to make green and to form plants.
