These are the full collection of the panels for the new draft of the story board. I feel that all the elements of the story are coming into place and that the story is entering a phase where it can start being refined. I will take these boards and make a simple animatic with them to get a sense of pacing and animation length.
I took Jen's boards reworked them either in their camera move or character poses but within the shots that Jen created. The biggest character interaction is still to be outlined in story board form and this is the 'dance'/ stand off the two characters have. Before I can start on that I need to do some studies of Blu's poses to get an idea as to how he might move. After establishing a new story and plot I gave the story over to Jen Harter to story board for me. These are the clean boards that she gave me. They take the story from the moment the audience is shown the feather. After the Pitch I had to start coming up with other ideas for the story and one of them was where it was set. This of course was developed in concept art in terms of look but I also explored the environment within the story boards.
The animation is now taking place in the space amongst the starts and I had the idea that the girl forms out of the moon. This would suit the look I developed for the pitch as the girl glows white- like the moon. The boards below explore the opening of the animation put to the point the girl catches her first glance of the Blu. |
