LO5/6: Shot 14 is the first shot being taken through to comp so was the testing grounds for much of the comping for Draco. The first two renders Alister produced where not he right track but the second showed the white pattern being plussed over the texture so it wasn't a solid white and made the textures looked worn and washed out.
I took a screen grab and in photshop drew over it to give alister a better idea of how I want the shot to look like (left). His next render matched my concept really well the only change I asked for was to make sure if the white ever was darken to make it coloured and not grey. The bottom image shows the finished render before grading.
To avoid this process of giving Alister a redrawn version of his render I am trying to coordinate our efforts so that Alister can comp while I work next to him on another aspect of the project. This way I can give immediate feedback on a shot before it is rendered out so saving production time.
